They Know Me 😁

I am out walking each and every morning. No matter what the weather is outdoors, I’m outside. You’re burning more calories, and getting rid of that stubborn fat when you are walking in the cold weather. Along my journey I see beautiful things. As any pack, deer are no different. There is a leader Doe. She gets to eat first, and she lets the others that it’s okay to come out. This one in the picture is no different. I whistle and they come running out of the woods. She knows me, a few of them do.

Many people will say I dislike the cold weather, I thrive in it. You hear people that taking ice cold showers, or sitting in a tub of ice for a few minutes… trust me this does work. It gives your cardiovascular system of boost also your metabolism. Switching things up on my eating habits I am doing a lot of fish, and keeping my vegetables green. Incorporating four or five days to intermediate fasting. Many days my first meal is at 3:00 p.m…I thought of it this way, eating green will make you lean. Broccoli, Spinach, and brussel sprouts….I haven’t been on here for a while I’ve been out west visiting my daughter in Phoenix. Wonderful to come back, to the cold and I love it so much!

Don’t Fall For Weight Loss Gimmicks

So here you are on Facebook, and all these ads come up about protein powder that will guarantee to cause weight loss. Or Super Burn Collagen, there are so many marketing gimmicks, that they’re targeting and filling your mind with (oh I’m going to buy that), or if I buy this, I’ll lose weight. Save Your Money Please.

To refresh and rejuvenate your body mind and soul, I still believe walking is the most therapeutic. If you can’t get outside and walk there are very simple chair exercises you can do, with a friend of mine Meredith. She does (Senior Fitness with Meredith). She is on YouTube. Please don’t get the senior part in your mind thinking it’s extremely easy. Yes, there are very simple exercises, to advanced using dumbbells, and her exercises last for about 20 minutes to 1 hour! And that’s the advanced workout. I thought I’d start off right away doing her advanced workout I had to drop down to intermediate, 😂

Real food is key. I don’t drink milk. I believe that milk is for baby calves. Whole foods are best. There’s going to be days that you’re more hungrier than others., It’s a given fact. I know for me it is. I’m eating a lot more of the leanest ground turkey, there is on the market. I like my concoction of 3 chopped up fresh garlic, sauteed until golden brown, then I add 4 oz of the Leanest ground Turkey there is, fried in a skillet until done, add an egg or two in with my ground turkey, eggs, and garlic. After that is cooked well I add 2 cups of chopped fresh spinach. Spinach cooks up very quickly, I don’t like my spinach mushy.. I make sure that it’s mixed well with my turkey, egg, and garlic. I put everything in a bowl mixing everything together. I then add 1 oz of original cream cheese together with the turkey, egg and spinach and my golden garlic. This will keep me full and satisfied for hours.

Water is King. I add lemon juice and apple cider vinegar to my water bottles, it just keeps me fresh and rejuvenated and hydrated. Plus apple cider vinegar does wonders, as well as freshly squeezed lemon juice.

Save your money! There is no magic bullet except for eating whole foods. And for me carnivore and keto work together for me. Don’t fall into the trap of marketing gimmicks. I tell people all the time, your magic bullet is walking, rejuvenating your mind, body, and soul… And healthy eating habits, staying away from the artificial junk, staying away from sugar, is key.

Klonopin, Anti Anxiety Medication and Weight Gain

So many people ask me, I can’t lose weight. One of my things is I asked them, are you on any anxiety medication? Many of the people I talk to say that they are. If anybody is on Klonopin, Abilify, Xanax, guess what? You’re shooting yourself in the foot. Abilify, you can gain 10 lb in the course of your treatment. Klonopin is the same way depending on what your dosage is. The higher the dose the higher the weight gain. That’s why I stay away from carbs when you are on anti-anxiety medication is critical. Eating carbs while being on anti-anxiety medication is a double sword. The longer that you are on anti-anxiety medication, to wean yourself off it’s always best to get your doctor’s advice. Right off the bat I’m not a fan of Ozempic! There are so many side effects with this medication. No Wonder people are losing weight! Let’s talk about the side effects shall we?! Heart palpitations, high heart rate, high blood pressure, power puking, and the reason why your power puking is because your digestive tract takes so long to digest food, that whatever you eat you’re going to bring it up. That’s why if you are on this and I highly recommend that you stop! You are not allowed to have anything greasy, fatty foods, this medication is lethal! The best way to lose weight, is to exercise regularly, you don’t have to spend hours in the gym, up your protein! You might want to try staying away from fruit for a while because it is still sugar. Reason why I do strictly carnivore/Keto.

Trial and error, I wanted to show another friend of mine if you have one frozen strawberry margarita it will be a four or five pound weight gain the next morning guarantee it, especially if you are carbohydrate intolerant. A lot of people giggle and say that they never heard of that. Well it’s true.. a doctor can swab you, and tell you right then and there if you are carb intolerant. I am 110%! So in the morning I had the leanest ground turkey 3 oz and one egg. I’m full I will not eat again until 5:00. Black coffee, and chug-a-lug on the water. There some days that I’m more hungrier than others and that’s cool, I just add more ground turkey, or fish and make a concoction of protein. If I want to add a vegetable I will do so, but it is a (green vegetable), spinach, lettuce, endive, kale… Keeps me satisfied keeps me full! If I want something hot I do drink a zero calorie zero carb chicken broth. They do sell it I have to be really careful and read the ingredients on everything. Some of you are vegetarian and that’s great! My body is crying out for protein so being carnivore / keto works for me. Depends on my day one day I might do strictly carnivore another day I might do Carnivore /Keto.. it just works. I’m finding out as well that I plateaued, when I was getting red meat so I switched over to fish and the leanest ground turkey and I’m having success again. A lot of trial and error it sucks.

If I want to snack I put kale in my air fryer and I make my own kale crisps. Season it with natural seasoning. I know carnivore people are really big on salt, I am not. I’m limiting my salt intake right now. As I said a lot of trial and error, I’m walking anywhere from 6 to 8 Miles a day, and enjoying my journey.

Welcome to my black and white photography. Doing the things that you love will keep your mind occupied, and off food. I’ve been doing really well, having still my first meal sometimes at 1:00 in the afternoon. It’s true when you keep your mind occupied, it needs to focus on the things that you are doing, and it keeps you away from the foods that you really should not have.

I went to Columbus Performing Arts center, and took some beautiful photography on dancers. A dozen of them got some attention from some companies, which I am going to Chicago and talk to a few of them. I’m a green horn yet, but I enjoy glass blowing and black and white photography.

Yesterday I came home and I had a 4 oz bison burger, with two cups of shredded angel hair cabbage, one and a half ounces of my cream cheese, garlic powder, turmeric, garlic, and I was satisfied after that. I wanted to put my mind to the test. If my gut started rumbling and I felt hungry it was mine control over gut control I told my gut no! I started drinking fresh lemon and lime juice, and apple cider vinegar. I had about 48 oz of that, and trust me the hunger pangs vanished. Your mind is a very powerful tool. Your mind has the authority to say either yes or no. Trust me I asked God to help me each and every day, because I don’t want to slide backwards. But the more you keep busy, and occupied the more you’re going to stay on track. I walked the distance yesterday as well.

Today I’m going out for lunch with a friend of mine and it’s going to be a salad a lot of green vegetables with maybe a hamburger on top, always ask the restaurant where you go to if they pre salt their meat. I have a thing about I want to add my own seasonings, for me too much salt can be detrimental. I know on Carnivore you’re supposed to eat a lot of salt, I do not. I keep my electrolytes in check and in balance.

A Beautiful Day To See Blooms

Yesterday was an adventurous walking day for me. One of the best benefits for rejuvenation, is actually seeing beautiful blooms all around me. It pumps up my endorphins, and it makes me happy. Yesterday was a very good long walking day, after I did that I went for a long bike ride. Do things that make you happy. For me going alone is the best Rejuvenation ever. I believe for me and improves my listening skills. I hear the Blue Jays in the distance, and a light breeze that blew through the trees leaves. I’m blessed to be active and I want to remain that way. I believe your body is made for movement. Even if you are homebound and sitting in a chair you can do easy exercises. Marching in place, lifting one leg up and holding it for a couple of seconds, bringing it back down and repeating on the other leg, there are just so many good benefits. One day at a time one step at a time. I always tell people: (you got this) small easy steps first.

For me walking is the best medicine to riding my bike. And it really does boost your good endorphins. It brings you a positive mindset. Don’t forget to drink water. And only drink when you’re thirsty, Don’t Force It. Sure I’m a believer in drinking 64 oz of water but for some people it can be too much. If I drink 48 oz of water I’m good. Here is to an intermediate fasting day for me I will probably have my first meal about 3:00 p.m.

Sausage and egg frittata, with spinach. If anyone’s like me I don’t like to spend hours and hours in the kitchen I do easy prep, but I am really enjoying cooking at home. I just know the things that I make, and it makes me feel good afterwards.

Green Vegetables Please

Green vegetables are wonderful source for your metabolism. It gives a little kickstart to your metabolism. Yesterday was an interesting day, I was not hungry until 3:00 p.m., I had eggs, uncured bacon.. because the uncured has no sugar.. with two cups of spinach. I let everything cook really well I add my spinach in last because I don’t want it soggy. I just want it steamed a little bit, and then I mix everything in together. That was my meal. People ask how many eggs do you eat a day.?. I try to do between 3 or 4 eggs, two strips of uncured bacon, and 2 cups of a green vegetable. Yesterday I just felt like I wanted spinach. I drank a lot of water yesterday.. it was humid, I Don’t Force It. If I want to drink 48 oz of water in a day I’m good with that, but never tried to force and overdue my water intake. I was doing that and I felt like I was just bloated. The new probiotic that I’m doing is working like a charm! I reached my weight loss goal, and now I’m in maintenance. I’m still going to continue on the carnivore keto lifestyle because it’s good for me and it does work.

I do take vitamin B12, cod liver fish oil, vitamin D3, garlic oil, chromium, ashwagandha, vitamin E, and vitamin c, as well as my new probiotic. I’m a firm believer in supplements also.

My snacking has decreased. If I want anything I go for carnivore crisps. They’re wonderful and I get them from a company that I truly love.

My walking has increased, I no longer have joint pain, and I believe in total Rejuvenation of your mind, body, and soul. To me walking is the best form of exercise I said that before, and even riding your bike. I was talking to a woman that said that she spent hours in the gym. There’s no need for that it starts with nutrition first I told her, and then get out in nature because it pumps up your good endorphins!

My Peace and Serenity

I don’t need to go to the gym. I believe walking is the best form of exercise. I do it early in the morning, and I am blessed with seeing beautiful things. I can let all my overthinking go. Being in nature is the best form of rejuvenation for your mind, body and soul. I walked the distance yesterday, and did a little bit over 6 MI. Honesty I go anywhere between 3and 5 miles. So many people are worried about how many steps should I do a day? If you go about 3 miles a day you are doing wonderful! Whatever you do, you’re doing well! Our bodies are meant for movement. What a better place to go than outside and see the beautiful flowers and Bloom, and nature.

Cooler Weather, Happy Mojito ❤️

From waking up early, to going for a very early walk after breakfast, we took a longer route. Mojito was excited. It’s like every morning is a new adventure. Hearing the birds sing, looking at all the sites, and walking a little bit longer of a route because the humidity has come down a great deal. After our walk he climbs on my lap, waits for me to scratch behind his ears…Then is satisfied. He takes off on his chair, and this is his position every time. 😂 To all have a very beautiful and blessed day.

After Our Morning Walk, Mojito’s Rest Time

It has been an early morning! Mojito and I decided to get her early walk in before it got too warm we have one more day of hot weather and humidity to boot. We beat that before it happened. Along our journey we met a baby squirrel, who is not afraid to come up and touch noses with Mojito.. it started following us for a little bit, I had to shoo it up a tree. Along our beautiful Journey, we saw many colorful blooms, neighbors that were outside early to get much of their work done before it gets too hot. We exchanged hellos 🤗, as we continued on our pathway. I’m excited for tomorrow because it’s going to be cooler and less humid. Mojito and I both agree we both enjoy the cooler weather! ❤️ To all, and have a very blessed day.

It sure has been hot here in Toledo, Ohio. Early walking days start at 6:30 in the morning. Thankfully tomorrow will be a lot cooler! I called Mr Mojito a cool dog walker! Like myself I like the cooler weather. Fall is my favorite season. Followed by the brisk winter air that follows. Spring brings beautiful vibrant blooms everywhere I look, a definite blessing. Looking forward to tomorrow where the weather is a little bit cooler, and we can go walking behind the University in our favorite trails.
