Welcome to my black and white photography. Doing the things that you love will keep your mind occupied, and off food. I’ve been doing really well, having still my first meal sometimes at 1:00 in the afternoon. It’s true when you keep your mind occupied, it needs to focus on the things that you are doing, and it keeps you away from the foods that you really should not have.

I went to Columbus Performing Arts center, and took some beautiful photography on dancers. A dozen of them got some attention from some companies, which I am going to Chicago and talk to a few of them. I’m a green horn yet, but I enjoy glass blowing and black and white photography.

Yesterday I came home and I had a 4 oz bison burger, with two cups of shredded angel hair cabbage, one and a half ounces of my cream cheese, garlic powder, turmeric, garlic, and I was satisfied after that. I wanted to put my mind to the test. If my gut started rumbling and I felt hungry it was mine control over gut control I told my gut no! I started drinking fresh lemon and lime juice, and apple cider vinegar. I had about 48 oz of that, and trust me the hunger pangs vanished. Your mind is a very powerful tool. Your mind has the authority to say either yes or no. Trust me I asked God to help me each and every day, because I don’t want to slide backwards. But the more you keep busy, and occupied the more you’re going to stay on track. I walked the distance yesterday as well.

Today I’m going out for lunch with a friend of mine and it’s going to be a salad a lot of green vegetables with maybe a hamburger on top, always ask the restaurant where you go to if they pre salt their meat. I have a thing about I want to add my own seasonings, for me too much salt can be detrimental. I know on Carnivore you’re supposed to eat a lot of salt, I do not. I keep my electrolytes in check and in balance.

A Beautiful Day To See Blooms

Yesterday was an adventurous walking day for me. One of the best benefits for rejuvenation, is actually seeing beautiful blooms all around me. It pumps up my endorphins, and it makes me happy. Yesterday was a very good long walking day, after I did that I went for a long bike ride. Do things that make you happy. For me going alone is the best Rejuvenation ever. I believe for me and improves my listening skills. I hear the Blue Jays in the distance, and a light breeze that blew through the trees leaves. I’m blessed to be active and I want to remain that way. I believe your body is made for movement. Even if you are homebound and sitting in a chair you can do easy exercises. Marching in place, lifting one leg up and holding it for a couple of seconds, bringing it back down and repeating on the other leg, there are just so many good benefits. One day at a time one step at a time. I always tell people: (you got this) small easy steps first.

For me walking is the best medicine to riding my bike. And it really does boost your good endorphins. It brings you a positive mindset. Don’t forget to drink water. And only drink when you’re thirsty, Don’t Force It. Sure I’m a believer in drinking 64 oz of water but for some people it can be too much. If I drink 48 oz of water I’m good. Here is to an intermediate fasting day for me I will probably have my first meal about 3:00 p.m.

Sausage and egg frittata, with spinach. If anyone’s like me I don’t like to spend hours and hours in the kitchen I do easy prep, but I am really enjoying cooking at home. I just know the things that I make, and it makes me feel good afterwards.

No, I Am Not Perfect

Maybe you might be wondering? She’s so perfect and she never gets off the wagon. That can’t be further from the truth. When I have days that are emotional or I just want to eat trust me I do, and I grab for all the wrong crap! Garbage!! You name it I’ll consume it. Then I realize okay I had that day, it was bad, now I need to get back on track.

I don’t want it to be a cycle. A bad day or two or eight, happens, life happens. But you know what you fall, you dust yourself off and you get back up again. I’ve had quite a few drama things happen, and I’m too old for it. So doors had a close on some people that I considered to be my friends. They what you call takers.. they make you feel bad about yourself, whatever you do they did it too but better. They never compliment you, they might even get up in a restaurant and throw a drink on you. It did not happen to me but it did happen to a friend of mine, we all know the certain individual. And then I thought about it and I said this is not the individual that I want in my circle because I want positive influences.

You come to a point of your life that you just don’t want drama and gossip. The way that I alleviate that is the closed doors and I imagine the handle red hot, never to be opened again. So I was caught up in a day of eating the wrong things but I said it’s okay today’s a new day. I’m thankful for it. We are all not perfect there is only one that is and I’m thankful for him. I just asked Jesus to take over my life leave me down to a smooth road because sometimes it can get very bumpy, especially when others are going out to restaurants and enjoying themselves, having that strawberry margarita, I sustained because I know that sugar is bad for my system. It causes a nasty side effects. And I just can’t have sugar in my being. If you’re out at a restaurant try to go for sauteed vegetables. There’s a Mexican restaurant that I tell him don’t put any salt on it but I would like sauteed vegetables, no bread, no tortilla chips..

So if you ever have a bad day or two or three, brush yourself off and say it’s okay, but get back on track. Cook more at home and enjoy it, go to the library and get some books out that you might enjoy and start reading, go for that walk in nature to get your good endorphins up and kicking. If you feel like going to the gym going that bike and ride it for 15 minutes, then go on to the next machine I believe in 30 to 45 minutes and out of the gym you go. You don’t have to be there all day. If you are that person that you’re on the go and you’re into protein powder go for the Sport Garden of Life. I believe in real food trust me here, but the Sport Garden of Life has everything good in it, and no sugar and no added sugar and everything is natural! It has 1.5 g of total fat, 0.25 g of saturated fat, trans fat zero polyunsaturated fat 0.5 g, mono saturated fat 0.5 g cholesterol zero, sodium 80 g which is very low total carb 3.5 g, dietary fiber 1 g total sugar and added sugar zip! Protein 15 g and that’s in one scoop that has 80 calories. I usually go with one scoop if I’m on the go, and I do it with cashew milk. I feel like I talked a lot about drama and falling off the wagon, but I’m a real person and I just want to let you know, I am not perfect. But I get back on track as soon as I can.

Green Vegetables Please

Green vegetables are wonderful source for your metabolism. It gives a little kickstart to your metabolism. Yesterday was an interesting day, I was not hungry until 3:00 p.m., I had eggs, uncured bacon.. because the uncured has no sugar.. with two cups of spinach. I let everything cook really well I add my spinach in last because I don’t want it soggy. I just want it steamed a little bit, and then I mix everything in together. That was my meal. People ask how many eggs do you eat a day.?. I try to do between 3 or 4 eggs, two strips of uncured bacon, and 2 cups of a green vegetable. Yesterday I just felt like I wanted spinach. I drank a lot of water yesterday.. it was humid, I Don’t Force It. If I want to drink 48 oz of water in a day I’m good with that, but never tried to force and overdue my water intake. I was doing that and I felt like I was just bloated. The new probiotic that I’m doing is working like a charm! I reached my weight loss goal, and now I’m in maintenance. I’m still going to continue on the carnivore keto lifestyle because it’s good for me and it does work.

I do take vitamin B12, cod liver fish oil, vitamin D3, garlic oil, chromium, ashwagandha, vitamin E, and vitamin c, as well as my new probiotic. I’m a firm believer in supplements also.

My snacking has decreased. If I want anything I go for carnivore crisps. They’re wonderful and I get them from a company that I truly love.

My walking has increased, I no longer have joint pain, and I believe in total Rejuvenation of your mind, body, and soul. To me walking is the best form of exercise I said that before, and even riding your bike. I was talking to a woman that said that she spent hours in the gym. There’s no need for that it starts with nutrition first I told her, and then get out in nature because it pumps up your good endorphins!

My Peace and Serenity

I don’t need to go to the gym. I believe walking is the best form of exercise. I do it early in the morning, and I am blessed with seeing beautiful things. I can let all my overthinking go. Being in nature is the best form of rejuvenation for your mind, body and soul. I walked the distance yesterday, and did a little bit over 6 MI. Honesty I go anywhere between 3and 5 miles. So many people are worried about how many steps should I do a day? If you go about 3 miles a day you are doing wonderful! Whatever you do, you’re doing well! Our bodies are meant for movement. What a better place to go than outside and see the beautiful flowers and Bloom, and nature.

What About Alcohol?

My friend’s know I LOVED a Frozen Margarita in the summer! I’m being real.. let’s face it even in the fall, a nice cozy Cabernet sitting by a fire, sounds beautiful…..

But…When I wanted to reinvent myself, I wanted to transform my mind, body, and soul, and I knew the right individual to ask for that. I couldn’t do it alone. I’m a firm believer in Jesus Christ. I wanted to get healthy. And that meant alleviating and saying goodbye to alcohol. People might say well a Chardonnay has low carb. It defeats the purpose. (Alcohol turns to sugar). And you will miss your mark going into ketosis.

I honestly don’t miss waking up in a panic. Alcohol did an opposite affect my system. Instead of relaxing me, I would wake up in a panic all the time starting at 3:00 in the morning. It would up my heart rate, because of the sugar. So I wanted to alleviate it and say goodbye to it. With that, I lost some friends along the way. But that’s okay some doors needed to close, because I felt God was transforming my being.

I wanted to get on track on eating healthier. A lot of trial and error, but my body cannot consume alcohol, or sugar any kind. I love when products say it has “organic maple sugar”, folks sugar is sugar no matter how you say it… Companies are very sneaky on their wording. ( Sugar Free ) Corn syrup solids.. and watch out for the artificial flavorings.. you really have to do your research.

Many Spirits have zero carb, but again you’re defeating the purpose. I’m honestly scared to no end about Rum, Tequila, Whiskey, ect.

A friend of mine asked me, do you miss going out to a Mexican restaurant and having a Margarita? I’m so busy right now I forgot, I told her. That answer is no. I enjoy cooking at home, trying out new recipes, doing research on ingredients, and enjoying my freshness, and newness.. it’s like a door closed, and a new one has opened.

You will not hit ketosis if you’re drinking alcohol. I watch my ketones, I buy the strips, at my local Rite Aid store, and make sure my body is in a steady ketosis. Switching over to the carnivore keto lifestyle it’s only difficult as you make it out to be. Ditch the sugar, ditch the alcohol, up the protein, add in your vegetables, I go for GREEN because they up your metabolism!!

I find I am ready many days for my first meal at 1 pm. Sometimes at 2 pm. The cravings are gone. I’m enjoying protein and vegetables, and of course my Philadelphia cream cheese. I can’t forget that! 😋

Oh So Good!

When I want to grab something to snack on, I go for my carnivore snax. Great company. I am a fan of the chicken snax. All it takes is a couple and I’m good to go. They’re very satisfying. You want to go with something that has zero carb. Understandable that green vegetables do have some carbohydrates but spinach, angel hair cabbage is the lower spectrum of carbohydrates.

I’m going to start posting recipes, that are quick satisfying carnivore and keto friendly. And my little dog mojo just sits there waiting for a little smidge to taste. He is my taste tester. It was a beautiful day walking at the Garden, Toledo Botanical Garden is my peace and serenity place. I like to walk before it gets too hot.

Acidophilus and Weight Gain

I was asking my family care physician, some questions about acidophilus and could it potentially cause weight gain. He told me without a doubt that strain does and will promote weight gain. The best probiotic for weight loss and hunger management, is LACTOBACILLUS GASSERI. I was checking with my local health food store they don’t carry it however, I ordered mine on a website. A very well known reputable company, Swanson. You don’t need to pay extreme top dollar for vitamins. If you can find them in a comparable, and at a cheaper price they do work. I take everything for immune support. Ashwagandha, ashwagandha is very beneficial also for weight management, and beneficial for people that have anxiety and stress.. it lowers it. So I threw away my acidophilus, because I was wondering why a couple of little sneaky pounds were adding up and I’m not doing anything crazy. Now I know. For one bottle of the LACTOBACILLUS GASSERI I paid a little bit over $18 plus my shipping, it came out to be $24.98 I believe. I believe in gut health and I believe in probiotics but you need the right one because there’s many out there that promote weight gain.

I had a friend of mine as well wanting me to look at the ingredients of a protein shake that she started called HMR. HMR is a weight loss program. Some hospitals do promote it, but looking at their food ingredients and a sodium level, I could not believe the disgusting ingredients and all the artificial crap that they put in their food. I almost freaked out when I seen the ingredients again things I could not pronounce, and I looked at her and I said there’s 20 g of sugar, plus added sugar in HMRs protein shakes! Not to mention all the carbohydrates! Loaded And you need to drink five of these a day? You need to stop! Stop using powders, and go with real food. You’re going to find out your triggers. Sugar is a trigger! it’s more lethal than cocaine. I took her to my kitchen, and I said in the morning if I have a slice of uncured bacon or two and two eggs I’m good, sometimes I don’t eat my first meal until 1:00 to 3:00 in the afternoon. And when that happens I do four and a half ounces of bison, cook that well.. I put that in a strainer and I still rinse off the meat. Put it in the strainer rinse off the meat set it off to the side, wash your pan, dry it well put it back on the stove and add a tablespoon of Irish butter, put the meat back in the pan, add three eggs, and 1 to 2 oz of Philadelphia cream cheese. Then I add two cups of a mixed green vegetable spinach, or my angel hair cabbage. Talk about keeping you full, and you don’t need the powder and crap all it is is a gimmick! A money maker! it’s going to up your blood sugar, and it’s not sustainable.

It really made her think she goes it is a lot of sugar! Yes! 100 g of sugar not including the added sugar! Gross! Last night I made chicken crisps usually I ordered them from a carnivore website that I fully trust and I’m going to list that a little bit later. But for the ones that are doing a probiotic really do your research because you don’t want to take anything that’s going to promote weight gain. The one that I listed is to top notch! I know what works for me, and what I need to stay away from. I cannot eat rice, I cannot eat bread, I cannot eat pasta, any kind of sauces, no soup, however I can do a bone broth and they do carry some that are extremely low sodium no calorie, I cannot do sugar or any kind of sugar substitute. Is it easy for me all the time I can take a look at ice cream and I know it would damage my body I would probably go in sugar shock. I know better and I stay away. The real kicker here folks is coffee-mate creamer! The zero calorie ones vanilla, hazelnut, run away from it. It is just loaded with artificial junk, and a definite weight gainer, just like you are diet colas! (Stay away is my forte)!

Nap Time For The MojoMyster

😴 Mojo’s favorite chair. We did our outing, went for our walk, hung out at the studio, He loves cats! Ears are on high alert…as today is chicken day. He knows it, smells the aroma of them baking in the oven, and no doubt dreaming about the juicy, tasting treats he will devour. I pre prep my meals. Tomorrow is chicken day. I have a great recipe for my chicken that I am having tomorrow. Mojito get some for dinner tonight. Can you say spoiled? I would not have it any other way. My ❤️
